Yes, Geralt of Rivia is coming to Soul Calibur 6! Yesterday the official Witcher Twitter teased some kind of an announcement for today and the internet went into overdrive.
Some expected a remaster or remake of first two games. Others hoped for a sequel. Yet all signs pointed to Geralt, the main protagonist of The Witcher series, making an appearance in the long await sequel to classic Bandai Namco fighter. Today it was confirmed to be true.
Though a slight disappointment to some fans expecting new open world adventure, it’s still very exciting news. Geralt is known for his excellent sword fighting skills so he will be a perfect fit for Bandai’s weapon-based fighter.
He is the 9th confirmed character for Soul Calibur 6 and first guest character we know of. What will surprise and delight many fans though, is that Geralt won’t be a PlayStation 4 exclusive as leaks lead us to believe. He will be available for PlayStation 4 as well as PC and Xbox One sometime later this year.
